FAN Meat is fully committed to complying with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which aims to ensure that products placed on the EU market do not contribute to deforestation or forest degradation globally.

Our Commitment

Zero-Deforestation Supply Chain:

FAN Meat through collaboration with the MEFT guarantees that all cattle and beef products exported to the EU originate from land not subject to deforestation or degradation after 31 December 2020, in accordance with EUDR definitions.

Ethical & Sustainable Practices:

Fan Meat is committed to supporting sustainable livestock farming in Namibia. We advocate for animal welfare, responsible land use, and minimal environmental impact along the value chain.

Geolocation Data

All products destined for the EU are backed by verified geolocation coordinates of the farms of origin, ensuring full traceability and spatial validation.

Supporting Farmers:

Fan Meat supports farmers through training, certification programs, and fair market access. Our assurance system uplifts the entire industry by promoting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Due Diligence & Recordkeeping:

FAN Meat supports its exporters and producers in maintaining comprehensive records and declarations, as required by the EUDR.

That includes:

  • Data collection
  • Risk categorisation and mitigation
  • Formulation of due diligence support documentation
  • Retention of documentation for 5 years
